Xbox Live Games With Gold For April 2018

April's GWG features two easy to complete games in the form of The Witness and Cars 2. Considering that I've been eying off a few of the later Assassin's Creed games, AC: Syndicate being in the later half of the month may have twisted my arm to purchase AC: Unity (currently for sale this week in the Fall Sale). Overall I think that this is a decent GWG line up for April.


Xbox One System Update arrives next week

Microsoft has just revealed a sneak peek at the upcoming update which is due to be released into testing early next week. The system will be getting a new Guide which has been designed to make multitasking much simpler and to make certain features much more obvious in the menu screen such as a the controller battery indicator or the clock.


Games with Gold Changes this month

It's the middle of the month and once again, the Xbox Games with Gold is switching it up by changing what free games users can download this month. Xbox Live Gold members will no longer be able to download Outlast on Xbox One and The Cave on Xbox 360 today.


New For Honor Season Pass details have been revealed

New details have just been 'released' about the Season Pass for Ubisoft's For Honor which is due for release in February. Details about the Season Pass appear to have been accidentally leaked on Uplay as the sales listing was quickly removed by Ubisoft but not before a user could screenshot the leaked image and upload it to Imgur.


Halo Wars 2 beta starts next week

Halo Wars 2 is due for released in February for the Xbox One and PC but the open beta is due to begin next week; according to details released by Microsoft, anyone with a Xbox One and Windows 10 PC will be able to download the game and give it a try.


Xbox One Backwards Compatibility family has grown again

Microsoft has just announced that seven new games have joined the Xbox One Backwards Compatibility program; these are the first games to be added to the program this year and it's certainly a good start to the year for Xbox.


Scalebound has been cancelled

Earlier this month Xbox Wire released a blog post which listed a large number of 2017 Xbox releases; the blog post excluded the upcoming action-RPG Scalebound and Microsoft has finally confirmed that production for the game has ended.


New Mass Effect: Andromeda details revealed

This has been a relatively good weekend for the upcoming Mass Effect game; several questions were answered this weekend by BioWare's Aaryn Flynn who responded to questions on Twitter. He was able to confirm one very big piece of news which has received a mixed response from gamers so far. Mass Effect: Andromeda will not have a Season Pass.


Microsoft rounds up 2016 and teases what's to come this year

Microsoft has just published a new blog post that's revealed a range of notable Xbox statistics and achievements from 2016; almost 400 new games were released for the Xbox One last year and in addition to this, Xbox One owners put in more than 265 million hours for Xbox 360 games through the Backwards Compatibility system.


Rime is coming to Xbox One

New about the upcoming adventure-puzzle game was first released in 2013 where the game was thought to be a PlayStation 4 exclusive. More details about the game are finally being released which confirms the project hasn't been canceled and that the game is no longer a PlayStation 4 exclusive.
