New Wireless Controller announced

Microsoft has just announced that a new controller has joined the Xbox family; this is the first officially red controller besides the special Gears of War 4 controller which was released last year.

The new controller has been confirmed to have textured grips with an increased wireless range which should appeal to all Xbox gamers; as a bonus, Microsoft has confirmed that it also has Bluetooth support which allows it to be used with the PC and some mobile devices.

The controller has been confirmed for release later this month on January 10th and will be exclusively sold through Gamestop and the Microsoft Store; no comments have been released yet about it being sold by other retailers in the future.

While this controller will be released at $65, a range of other colors are currently available for a lower price and it's also possible to create a unique controller from the Xbox Design Lab.
