Neverwinter: Double XP weekend
Today was a rather eventful day for me. I had to re-lodge my Passport application due to Australia Post losing it (as if we didn't see that coming). While in the city I saw that Neverwinter was having another Double XP weekend and given that I was staying up until a stupid hour tomorrow morning to get Evo Japan Day 3 tickets, I decided that it was time to try and get 2 characters to level 70.
This game almost has an endgame grind like early FFXI, but it's not as bad as you can do 60-70 in one sitting. I remember when I finished playing my Guardian Fighter character that I didn't want to use him anymore in fear of being "that tank", but I have to say that I was having a heap of fun playing him again. I still don't think that I'm playing the job the correct way, but it doesn't matter in the end as I'm just going to focus on the other character that I took to 60 prior to suspending play a year or so ago.
Hopefully the game can keep me long enough, and I can get a decent guild that is active enough to no so much carry me (I really don't want to be a third wheel), but to help me get to a level of understanding that matches what I knew back when I played FFXI. The game seems interesting enough (when you get past the loot-box mechanics).
