Japanese Game Hunt: Day 3
Again, this wasn't meant to be a day to collect games, but I'm starting to think that no matter what I do, I'll always be tempted to find a bargain. Today I went off to Daiba to see the giant Unicorn Gundam which did not disappoint. It doesn't matter if you've never seen a Gundam episode (yes that's me), that thing is HUGE and worth the trek over to Daiba.
On the way home I decided to jump over to Shinjuku but it started to rain so any sort of photo ops were lost. I found a BOOK-OFF while navigating the buildings to get out of the rain which really didn't have much of a range of 360 titles, maybe 30 if you were lucky. Since Army of Two just left the Games With Gold line-up and I found out that even though I was using a Japanese 360, my EU account still made the download the EU version. I decided to pick up a physical non-EU version as well as GOW2 for Backwards Compatibility reasons.
- Army of Two - ¥500
- Gears of War 2 - ¥250
After arriving back at Akihabara I went looking for some dinner, and in the streets behind the main drag of Akihabara I found Mulan, a store that I read briefly of but kept forgetting to seek out. It had a nice shelf of about 100 odd games to choose from, most I already had, but I think this will be on my final sweep come Saturday for last minute BC games.
Mulan (Akihabara Backstreet)
- Dunamis 15 - ¥1,886
Edit: Due to Pokémon Go telling me that it was snowing outside, I decided to take a walk at 9:30PM, at 2C, while it was snowing. Crazy yes, and I found 2 more games from my list. Apparently the Mulan I went to before is not the only Mulan in Akihabara. I shall call this new one Main and the other Backstreet for the moment until I figure out what each shop's title is.
Mulan (Akihabara Main)
- Root Double - Before Crime, After Days - ¥1,886
- マブラヴ オルタネイティヴ トータル・イクリプス (Muv-Luv Alternative Total Eclipse) - ¥1,080
