Extra Life 2016: Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls
This year will be my 5th year participating in Extra Life. Each year I have issues trying to come up with a unique idea of what I can focus on for the event. A few years back, my event was cut short due to the arrival of my daughter, since then I've been unable to participate in Extra Life as a 24 hour marathon player. This year I'll be changing the format slightly. I'll be playing Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls in 4 sessions of 6 hours. This allows me to set aside an uninterrupted segment of time so that I can achieve my required 24 hour playtime, but without ignoring parental responsibilities.
The main theme for this year was to attempt to level 4 classes in D3RoS that I've never played before to go towards the Dream Team achievement.
I plan to knock over Crusader and Monk first as they are probably the least squishy classes remaining, with Witch Doctor and Demon Hunter on the final days. Six hours isn't very long, and I'm not the greatest D3 player out there having only really dabbled in it upon release on PC, and on and off on console. I don't expect to get far into Act III or at least make it to Act III. From memory Act I is fairly bulky, but Act II is more annoying than long, also I'm pretty sure that I've finished the game with characters around to 40 mark (I could be wrong), so I'm not expecting to level the classes that high either. Looks like I'll be coming back to do some clean up after the event to finish all off to 70.
Here's to a fun weekend, hope I don't get bored.
