Tag / Akihabara

Akihabara (Japanese: 秋'原) is a common name for the area around Akihabara Station in the Chiyoda ward of Tokyo, Japan. Administratively, the area called Akihabara mainly belongs to the Sotokanda (外神") and Kanda-Sakumachō districts in Chiyoda. There exists an administrative district called Akihabara in the Taitō ward further north of Akihabara Station, but it is not the place when people generally refer to as Akihabara.

Japanese Game Hunt: Day 3

Again, this wasn't meant to be a day to collect games, but I'm starting to think that no matter what I do, I'll always be tempted to find a bargain. Today I went off to Daiba to see the giant Unicorn Gundam which did not disappoint. It doesn't matter if you've never seen a Gundam episode (yes that's me), that thing is HUGE and worth the trek over to Daiba.

Japanese Game Hunt: Day 1

The targets for today were the two HARD-OFF's out near Mitaka. I'm picking this as the first day because it's close to the Ghibli Museum which I guess is somewhere most people looking for games might also want to see, so if you're planning on going to the museum, then you can also add these to your list of things to go to in the area.
